Atelier Vierkant and Club 21 Gallery are pleased to present an installation showcasing key pieces from the Atelier Vierkant collection. Located in the Link Bridge between Hilton Hotel and Four Seasons Hotel, the installation recreates an abstract landscape on a plywood platform. Like the ebbs and flows of forms found in nature, the presentation starts with a gentle rhythm created by large pebbles and clay-and-timber seating, which is interrupted by a cluster of striking, monumental vessels before returning to a placid landscape of low seating. This allusion to nature is apt for the vessels and seating elements created by Atelier Vierkant; made of clay from the earth and sculpted by hand, each one is a fine synthesis of the natural and the handmade. Their inviting forms beckon passers-by to sit and rest while their tactility seduces the touch of the hand. Alongside the installation, images showcasing Atelier Vierkant’s products in various hospitality, residential and commercial locations around the world highlight their uses as attractive planters, as artful sculptures, or both.
