Private Residence Kristianstad
Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects designed a private house on the outskirts of Kristianstad , in south Sweden. The owner commissioned to design a house in long in width, and surprisingly narrow, in order to capture the sunlight in the best way possible and to spread it over the different rooms. Though the villa is located at the seashore, it is hidden by the surrounding pine trees, so you only notice it once your approach from the beach. It is built in grey stone and it has a slightly tilted roof. From the terrace in front of the house, there are steps that lead down to the sauna, and some steps up to a small plateform with table. On the terrace, Stockholm based landscape architect Anna Lundberg used a series of HK- vases in different sizes, planted with decorative small pine trees in various shapes. The total setting breaths an air of quietness, and spirit of simplicity combined with the exquisity of all used furnishing complements ; lights of Davide Groppi, outdoor sofa and chairs of Paola Lenti complete the overall design.
